Legion Branch 181’s Poppy Campaign Raises $9300

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 181 has the totals from their poppy donation campaign.

While they say that donations are down due to Covid, they have managed to raise $9,300 dollars. That is down from last year’s total of $12,650.

President and Poppy Chairman Larry Shattraw says they will donate to many different organizations, such as:

The District F hospital Fund
The District F Youth Education
Ontario Command – The Leave the Streets Behind for All Vets
Ontario Command Bursary Program
Ontario Command Charitable Foundation
Ontario Command Operation Service Dog’s
The Sea Cadets

The Legion wants to thank all the businesses in town for allowing the poppy boxes to be put in stores. The Legion would also like to thank everyone who has donated.
