Bancroft OPP has laid charges after the post office in Maynooth was broken into.
Police were called Sunday around 2:30 PM after receiving reports of a suspicious male on Church Street. Police arrived to find the office had been forcibly entered and arrested one male as a result. A 60-year-old man from Faraday township has been charged with break and enter, mischief, theft of mail, resist of a peace officer and assault of a police officer, theft and uttering threats.
The accused has been held in custody and will appear this week in the court of justice in Belleville.
