Apsley Community Care Responding After Grocer Fire

Community Care in Apsley has begun its response after the loss of Sayer’s Foods.

The group says they are working from their hub on Burleigh Street to organize Meals on Wheels and transportation to outside towns. They will also do bus runs on Tuesday and Friday to Bancroft for residents to get groceries.

But to do all this they say they will need a lot of help. They say they need volunteers to drive and to help run Meals on Wheels. They also need money to compensate the bus drivers.

They say if you want to help out, you can give them a call at 705-656-4589 or drop by their office in Apsley on Burleigh Street. You can also visit them on their website.
