If you wanted to visit an Ontario Park but do not have the money, the Libraries of North Hastings will be able to help.
You can now loan a Day-Use Vehicle Permit to Ontario parks free of charge. Parks Ontario says library users will be able to borrow a park permit from places like the North Hastings and Hastings Highlands Public Library. The passes will provide day use for one vehicle and its occupants, allowing access to over 100 provincial parks. Each Library in the area has been given 3 of these passes.
The program is part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People initiative, which aims to make it more affordable for people to enjoy provincial parks. For more info on the program, click here.
