And Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has announced that they have given out their first COVID-19 vaccinations.
They say they had given out 79 shots to residents and staff at a long term care home in Bellville. The members of the home received the Phizer-BioNtech vaccine.
The vaccines come as the Health Unit’s caseload sits at 28 active cases. None of the cases have been recorded in North Hastings. Since the pandemic began, HPE has listed 358 cases, the majority being in Belleville. 17 of those cases were in North Hastings.
