Highland Shores Children’s Aid Marks Family Day

With Family Day happening this weekend, Highland Shores Children Aid says that all families come in different shapes and sizes.

They say that even if your family is biological or foster, family is who provides comfort during this time. Executive Director, Tami Callahan says that technology has helped bring families together during the pandemic. The isolation, however, has had parents reach out for help. A majority of the calls have been from parents looking for advice on how to manage the new normal.+

Children’s Aid wants to let the area know that they’re here to help. If a child is in need and you are a member of the community or a parent with questions, they say to never hesitate to give them a call at 800-267-0570. Children’s Aid offers a multitude of programs, including foster services, parent education programs, and mental health supports. Callahan says the foster parents have managed through the challenges of the pandemic.

If a child is in need of help, Children’s Aid urges people to give a call at 1-800-267-0570.
