Prince Edward-Hastings MP Daryl Kramp is encouraging organizations to apply for funding for senior projects in our area.
He’s calling on local groups to submit funding proposals in two categories, both aimed at keeping Canadian seniors involved in their communities. Applications started being accepted on May 29 and will continue to be collected until July 10.
This is through the government’s New Horizons for Seniors program. Kramp recently announced that the program will be awarding more than $10,000 to Generations Intergenerational, a mentorship program connecting local seniors with pre-school children through North Hastings Children’s Services.
