The local health unit is reminding pool owners of water safety in a new campaign.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says a four-sided fence that’s four-feet tall on all sides is ideal. This is so children can’t go over, under or through the fence.
The health unit is working with local fencing, landscaping and pool companies to help make pools safer. It’s also asking municipalities to make sure their by-laws for pool fencing are updated.
