The Bancroft OPP has laid charges in an alleged assault in Faraday Township recently.
The OPP responded to a call about a 17-year old girl at an early-morning party on Lower Faraday Road May 30. She was found in a wooded area before the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Unit got to the scene. The OPP says she reported being sexually assaulted by someone at the party.
A 15-year old Bancroft boy was arrested and charged with sexual assault. He was released on an Undertaking with Conditions and is due in Bancroft youth court next in July. The name of the accused isn’t being released as part of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
