Brand New Long Term-Care Facility Coming to Madoc

Long Term Care beds are coming close to Bancroft.

A new 128-bed facility is set to be built in Madoc and was announced yesterday alongside another facility in Napanee. The Madoc facility, called the Clare McFaul Long-Term Care Home, is described as a modern campus sitting on a 6.5-acre site. The location is right beside a 60-acre conservation area. Combined with the Napanee site, this will add 256 new long-term care beds.

MPP Daryl Kramp says they will be built sooner rather than later, with plans already drawn up and construction ready to begin. The push is part of 80 new long-term care projects that hope to add 7,510 new beds to the province and upgrade 4,197.

Madoc Mayor Tom Deline wanted to thank the province, the ministry of long-term care, and past and present municipal leaders for their support in getting the facility. Kramp says a lot of people worked hard for this moment and will benefit people for decades.
