Today is the first day of a daytime burn ban here in Bancroft.
Starting April 1st, no outdoor burning can occur between 7 am and 7 pm. This includes burn barrels, incinerators, brush piles or yard waste.
They also warn residents to be careful about where they dump their ashes to avoid starting a grass fire.
