Our local MP Daryl Kramp was in Belleville Friday to announce funding for three Bay of Quinte projects.
He says under the federal government’s Great Lakes Sustainability Fund, $2.8 million will be given to over 30 new initiatives in concerning Great Lakes areas. This includes three projects locally: $475,000 for the Bay of Quinte Remedial Stormwater Management Implementation Project, $136,800 to the Bay of Quinte Long Term Monitoring Pilot Project and $261,000 for the Monitoring Coastal Wetlands and Enhancing Habitat in the Bay of Quinte Area of Concern Project.
He says projects like these bring residents, businesses and conservation partners together with the government to improve our ecosystems.
