A community survey hosted by our local school board has yielded some promising results.
The Hastings Prince Edward District School Board ran the online survey from Jan. 15 to Feb 8 and 1,547 people answered it. Participants included: community members, parents/guardians, employees, organizations as well as current and former students.
Sixty-two percent said they were very/somewhat happy with their board experience. Sixty-four percent would recommend an HPEDSB school. Almost half of people said email is how they prefer getting their board updates. Other answers included: school websites, the board website and newsletters.
The board says it’s using the results now, while also taking them in to consideration for the fall strategic plan.
