Bancroft OPP have released their stats from the easter long weekend traffic safety campaign.
While the campaign was focused on seatbelt safety, the detachment only laid seven charges. However, they also laid 15 speeding charges, 4 charges related to vehicle insurance, and one related to liquor. OPP says they laid an additional 9 other charges related to vehicles. They also said that they checked 171 cars through their six ride programs.
OPP reminds the public that they will be enforcing safety rules year-round, even with the campaign wrapping up.
