The 13th Maynooth Farmers Market is ready to go this Saturday.
Organizer Christine Hass says this year she has 15 vendors, most of them dealing in food. Goods include a new homemade bread vendor, as well as sellers of maple syrup, honey, vegetables, preserves, and baking. Hass says that because the majority of vendors are serving food, a wood crafter and a jewelry vendor will also be allowed to set up shop this weekend. New vendors are expected to be added as the summer goes on. Hass says they do have room to expand behind Memories.
Public health guidelines will also be followed, with everything at the market aside from bathrooms taking place outside. Hass says she has someone who will disinfect the bathrooms and make sure that the rules are followed. Vendors must be behind tables, kiosks must allow proper airflow and all public health guidelines will be followed. Hass says despite the extra work it takes, people are excited about it coming back after a long winter.
The Market starts Saturday the 29th from 8 AM until 1 PM. It will take place in front of Memories every Saturday at the same hours until Thanksgiving.
