Canada Day celebrations will not be sponsored by the Town this year.
Council has voted that they will not go forward with their typical Canada Day events this year. Due to continued uncertainty with the COVID-19 Pandemic, they say it has made it impossible to plan any celebrations with any level of sureness. Because it is still not known when the province will relax physical distancing measures, the Town has opted to not make any plans for July 1st.
However, during the recent council meeting, they agreed that they will figure out ways to safely mark the occasion at a later date.
