The Conservative Candidate for Hastings-Lennox and Addington says if elected, she wants to get input from those in the riding.
Announcing her intention to run in L’Amable on Monday, Shelby Kramp-Neuman outlined her priorities if elected as Member of Parliament for the riding. She highlights increased debt load on individuals and governments and says the Liberal Party has failed to meet its goals on things like pipeline construction, clean water for Indigenous communities, and vaccine distribution during the Pandemic. She is pledging to give local institutions the necessary investment while also providing relief from taxes and red tape that stifle economic growth. She also pledged to invest more in mental health, green energy, and agriculture.
If elected to Parliament, she says it is important to reflect the views of those around her. She says she plans to create an advisory panel to meet with municipal leaders across the riding to find what are their priorities. With 15 years on council in Centre Hastings, she says her wealth of experience will help.
Kramp-Neuman says that steady and predictable funding from both Federal and Provincial governments is crucial to the people in the riding during the on-going recovery from the pandemic.
