Nine people have died in off-road vehicle collisions so far this year, a number the OPP says hasn’t been seen in years.
The OPP says this is the largest number of ORV deaths this early in the year since 2009. Police are reminding riders to: always wear a helmet, to never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and drive at a reasonable speed.
A 17-year old Hastings Highlands boy died in May when his ATV went in the ditch in Faraday Township.
