The Killaloe OPP is warning local residents about a Revenue Canada telephone scam in the area.
It says the caller tells victims that they’re being sued and that they have to call a specific number to clear things up. It adds that Revenue Canada posts issues on its website and that you should always make sure you’re calling the right telephone number when trying to reach Revenue Canada.
An investigation is ongoing.
