ParticipACTION Canada and a local health unit are joining forces, encouraging play on June 21.
June 21 is ParticipACTION’s Canada’s Longest Day of Play. It’s asking everyone to use the extra daylight hours to get active.
Claire Townshend, health promoter with the Peterborough County-City Health Unit, says this could include anything from going to a splash pad to cycling the trails.
There’s a free family fun day planned for Confederation Park in Peterborough June 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. It’sorganized by the city, the health unit and the Council for Persons with Disabilities. It’ll feature family-friendly outdoor games, snacks and more. For more information, click here.
