Environment Canada is tracking a system that could present some severe thunderstorms this afternoon.
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts and pea to dime size hail. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from south of Maple Ridge to near Burntroot Lake, moving east at 70 km/h. Hazards include 90 km/h wind gusts.
Affected areas include Bancroft, Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Hastings Highlands, Denbigh and Whitney as well as Eastern Algonquin Park.
Forecasts predict the storm to reach Maynooth around 12:45 today. Hydro One is also warning residents that power outages are possible throughout the region
