The Bancroft Fish and Game Club has joined forces with the Art Gallery of Bancroft to put on a fundraising event.
The Art Social Event will be a fundraiser for the Fish and Game Club and will include an art sale, silent auction and an artist meet and greet. It will be held at the Bancroft District Fish and Game Club from 7 p.m until 11 p.m. The event will be happening Friday, August 13th. Admission is by donation, and it is a masked event to be held indoors.
Hugh Monteith, President of the Art Gallery, says this isn’t the first time they’ve worked with the Fish and Game Club. Many times prints have been donated to both organizations which have then in turn been used for fundraising. In one event, they were able to raise $600 on a handful of pieces. Monteith says it is great how two non-profits can work together to raise money.
On the Artists featured at the event, a Place for the Arts director Ken Balmer will be showing his work along with Seth Macey, a professional wildlife photographer. The two artists often collaborate, with Balmer creating wildlife paintings from Macey’s photographs. Monteith says having these two artists show their work together in one event seemed like the perfect fit.
