Prince Edward-Hastings MP Daryl Kramp was in Tweed this morning to announce $610,000 in funding for the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance.
$270,000 is coming from the federal National Trail Program. $340,000 is being added by the Community Futures Development Corporations of North and Central Hastings and Frontenac as part of the federal Eastern Ontario Development Program, for marketing and developing trails.
David Gerow, chair of the EOTA, says the organization is excited about the federal government’s contribution, matching funds raised at the municipal level. This includes: the Town of Bancroft, Hastings County and Highlands East.
