Election candidates finalized for Hastings-Lennox-Addington

The election is two weeks away, and the candidates running in Hastings-Lennox-Addington are set.

Six candidates will look to fill the seat formerly occupied by Independent MP Derek Sloan. Sloan is currently running in the Alberta riding of Banff-Airdrie as an independent candidate.

The Liberal Party of Canada has reaffirmed Mike Bossio as their candidate. Bossio lost the seat to Sloan in the 2019 election.

For the Conservative Party of Canada, Shelby Kramp-Neuman will be running in the riding. She was confirmed by the party to run in July.

Matilda DeBues has been confirmed as the candidate for the New Democratic Party.

Reg Wilson will run in the riding as the Green Party candidate.

The People’s Party of Canada will run James Babcock in the riding.

Jennifer Sloan is running as an independent candidate in the riding. The Belleville resident is the wife of the former MP.

Moose FM will be interviewing each of the candidates and bringing you their stances on major issues in the coming days. Election day is September 20th.
