After months of waiting, the Countdown Public Art Project is set for its debut.
The pebble mosaic will be unveiled to the public on September 24th at 6:30 PM in Millennium Park. The project has been in development since December 2020. The six-foot-wide monument will honour those affected by gender-based violence. The project is created by Red Dress Productions.
The project is in conjunction with Maggie’s Resource Centre, with the creators partnering with several organizations, including the Town of Bancroft, Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini Algonquin First Nation, and North Hastings Community Trust, among many others.
