Coe Hill Riders ATV Club raise over $1,000 for library

The Coe Hill Riders ATV Club (CHATV) says despite a small turnout, their recent charity ride was a big success.

The Club says although there were 35 riders at their charity ride last weekend, the group raised over $1,100 for the Wollaston Public Library. Event Coordinator Norm Lewis delivered a cheque that day to Library Board Member Lawrence Wardroper. In addition, the Library Board held a pop-up book sale that day, which was able to raise another $244.

Wollaston Mayor Lynn Kruger said she “was grateful to the volunteers associated with the club”. Meanwhile, Ontario Federation of ATV Club President Soren Klemmensen was on hand, saying “local volunteers doing great things for the community is core to what OFATV is all about”.

This is the second charity ride the Club has done this year. In September, they raised around $1,750 for the Tri-Township Food Basket food bank.
