Hastings Centennial Manor to directly benefit from Long Term Care funding boost

After the province added another $270 million to long-term care homes this year, MPP Daryl Kramp says the funding boost will directly impact care in North Hastings.

According to his office, Hastings Centennial Manor will receive around $392,000 dollars this year for additional staffing. In addition, by 2025, the home is set to receive $2.4 million more than its current funding per year.

Kramp says the provincial funding will allow long-term care homes like the Manor to hire more staff so they can provide more care to residents. The current provincial goal is to provide four hours of care per resident per day by 2025. This means hiring over 27,000 people into these positions.
