With the finishing of school and the official start of summer, Hydro One has some safety tips for kids this summer.
It’s urging parents to talk with their children about being safe around outdoor electrical equipment. Obey signs that warn of danger and high voltage areas. Climb trees only when hydro lines aren’t around. Avoid power lines and wires and keep toys like kites, balloons and planes away from them. Stay away from utility equipment and seek shelter indoors if there’s a lighting storm. Always call 911 in an emergency.
