A Bancroft Town Councillor will be selected as the new General Manager of the town.
Andra Kaffeldt will be assuming the position on December 1st, 2021. She will resign from her Council position at that time as a result. Bancroft Mayor Paul Jenkins says Kaffeldt has over 29 years of experience being employed with the Hastings County Community and Human Services Department. She also has served three years on the Bancroft Council and eight years on the Limerick Township Council.
The Town wanted to fill this position in the spring of 2020 and conducted what they called a thorough and objective search for the new role. The new manager will coordinate several departments to meet the goals of the Town’s Economic Development Strategic Plan.
There are no concrete answers on how the vacant seat will be filled. However, Town of Bancroft staff has told Moose FM that the issue could be discussed in the next council meeting.
