Two people are dead after their canoe capsized on Moose Lake in Dysart et al Township.
Constable Michelle Scanlan with the Haliburton Highlands OPP says one of the adult males was able to make it to shore uninjured. The identities of the deceased will be released once the next of kin are notified.
It happened just before 10:30 AM Sunday. Officers arrived at the scene alongside Haliburton County Emergency Services and the Dysart et al Fire Department. The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit have joined the investigation along with Technical Collision Reconstruction investigators.
