The Bancroft OPP is identifying high-collision areas around town, following an analysis of collisions from 2014 to 2015.
The OPP says there will be increased police presence on these high risk parts of highways around North Hastings during the week of Canada Day.
Officers will be looking for: distracted drivers, seatbelt offences and speeding. R.I.D.E. programs will also be watching for impaired drivers. With more vehicles on the road in the summer, motorists are asked to: drive safely, stay focused and not drink and drive.
