The Algonquin Highlands councillor will serve a second, four-year term as Warden of Haliburton County.
Liz Danielson was the only candidate to send in her nomination papers before the November 15th deadline.
Danielson didn’t speak about being named Warden-elect during the November 24th council meeting.
A swearing-in ceremony for the Warden-elect will happen on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at 2 PM. At that meeting, the process to name the next Deputy Warden will begin. Any councillors interested will have 10 minutes at the swearing-in ceremony to plead their case before council decides who gets the position at their first meeting of 2022.
Mayor of Dysart et al Andrea Roberts currently serves as the county’s Deputy Warden.
