Update 06-12-2021 at 1:53 PM: Most power has been restored
With the major snow and rain storms passing through the region, Hydro One has reported a loss of power through our area.
As part of a massive equipment failure, a large area south and east of Algonquin Park has lost power. The region includes Maynooth, Madawaska Barry’s Bay, Lake St. Peter, Bancroft, Apsley and Coe Hill. Almost 400 people in the region have been affected. It’s part of a larger outage affecting parts of Peterborough region.
Power is expected to be back online around 2 PM.
