Moose FM Kids in Need Radiothon raises $12,000

Despite some technical problems, this year’s Moose FM Radiothon is on its way to breaking records.

As of writing, $12,000 in donations have been collected for Bancroft and Area Kids in Need for last weekend. However, donations are still being accepted up until December 13th, and the total is growing. This compares to $16,000 raised through the holiday season last year.

No word yet on how many toys have been donated, but organizers say around 230 families have registered for the charity. Earlier this year, they gave out 180 snowsuits for kids, something they need money to do.

Toys can be dropped off at our location or through various toy depots around town, including Century 21, Scotiabank, Kawartha Credit Union, Boyers and the Bancroft OPP office. To donate cash online, you can E-transfer using the email address [email protected]. In addition, you can search for Bancroft Kids in Need at CanadaHelps.org.
