North Hastings Hospital further restricts visiting

A week after changing their visiting policies, QHC is now further clamping down on who can visit patients at the North Hastings Hospital.

Effective immediately, short-stay patients or stable ICU patients will not be able to have a care partner to provide them with assistance. However, long-stay patients are allowed to have one consistent care partner. These people must pass a COVID-19 screening every time they enter the hospital and must provide proof of vaccination. Very few vaccine exemptions will be made during this time, and all care partners must wear PPE.

QHC says the goal is to limit the number of people coming through the hospital in order to limit the chance of a potential outbreak.
