Quinte Healthcare (QHC) says its hospital in Bancroft is getting swamped with calls.
They say that with the influx of people calling about COVID-19 testing and vaccines, many people can’t get through to the hospital by phone. Those trying to call the hospital about a non-COVID issue but receive a busy line should wait for a few minutes before calling again.
QHC staff add that the COVID Assessment Centre is experiencing high call volumes. They suggest registering through the online form which you can find here. With high volumes, it may take up to 72 hours to receive an appointment time once you have completed the form.
QHC hospitals are not offering appointments to book a COVID-19 vaccine. They are asking people to not call the hospital for this reason and to use the provincial booking system.
