School Board to make move to online learning by January 6th

As part of the new COVID-19 restrictions, the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board will be switching to online learning.

The Board will be distributing devices for remote learning throughout this week, and hope to be ready to offer classes by Thursday, January 6th. For those in special education, in-person learning will be offered once the Board reaches out to all families. Emergency childcare programs will also be available in schools.

School Board staff will now have access to N-95 masks while on school property. Students will also be offered three-layered cloth masks free of charge. There will also be more access to COVID-19 testing once the provincial government ships test kits.

Remote learning will last until at least January 17th and may last longer depending on the public health situation.
