One of the largest charities in Hastings Prince Edward (HPE) Counties is close to reaching its fundraising goal.
The United Way has said that they are confident that they will reach their goal of $1.95 million by the end of the campaign in February. Brandi Hodge, Executive Director of the HPE chapter of the charity, says this prediction is based on conversations with past donors and sponsors. The United Way’s Volunteer Campaign Chair Sheri Meeks says the need in the community is very high, and the team is doing everything to raise the money they need.
The United Way funds a number of organizations in the Bancroft area, like North Hastings Community Cupboard, Bancroft Community Transit, North Hastings Community Trust, and North Hastings Children’s Services.
