Bancroft Public Works cautioning residents to stay home as snow removal continues

The Town of Bancroft’s Public Works department is out in force cleaning up the snow from the storm

Public Work’s Manager Perry Kelly says they have had a busy morning opening up roads, parking lots and sidewalks. Their primary focus will be on the main highways, with secondary roads to be cleared later on Monday afternoon. Kelly warns that they will be filling driveways until then.

If the snow begins to wind down later this afternoon, Kelly predicts most roads will be clear by mid-afternoon on Tuesday. Until then, he says his team is watching the forecast, and telling people if they don’t have to go out to stay home.

If anyone gets stuck on the roads, Kelly says they can give the Town offices a call at 613-332-3331. He says he doesn’t want to see anyone stranded, and they will get there as soon as they can.
