An opportunity for local students to learn about wetlands is being offered by the Bancroft and Area Stewardship Council.
The Wonders of Wetlands Field Day is being planned for June of this year. The event will allow students to get a hands-on look at the value of wetlands. Classes will be invited to attend across North Hastings. The program is typically offered to students in grades three and four.
The Stewardship Council aims to educate about sustainable management and preservation of the environment of the North Hastings area.
