The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has added a new member to their leadership team.
The Board appointed Darren McFarlane as the new Superintendent of Education at their recent meeting. He will start his role on February 1st and is replacing Laina Andrews, who is retiring.
McFarlane has worked with the Board since 2003, serving as principal and vice-principal in several high schools across the region. Director of Education Katherine MacIver says McFarlane’s leadership will serve the Board well in years to come.
