More people are living in Bancroft than there were five years ago, according to Census data.
The 2021 Census has shown that the current population of Bancroft sits at 4,065. This is a 4.7 percent increase from 2016, when the population was 3,881. 2,007 private dwellings were recorded, with 1,801 occupied by usual residents.
Hastings County as a whole grew as well over the last five years. The population grew to just under 146,000 people, a nearly seven percent increase from 2016. 68,518 private dwellings were recorded, with around 61,000 occupied by usual residents.
