County supporting plans to turn Heritage Museum into tourist visitor centre

Plans are in the works to expand the role of the North Hastings Heritage Museum.

As part of a My Main Street grant application, the museum will operate as a tourist visitor centre, that will provide information on North Hastings for visitors. The centre will also promote local businesses, attractions and events.

In a draft letter, County Warden Rick Phillips has given his support for the project. He says because the museum is already centrally located, it is a common place for visitors to find information.
