The Ministry of Natural Resources is looking into an illegally killed deer.
Conservation Officers say that sometime around January 4th, a deer was shot and killed near Bay Lake Road, south of Bancroft. The poacher dragged the animal to the middle of Bay Lake and had part of its hide removed. The deer was then left to spoil.
