Ontario Parks opens summer student applications

Students are now able to apply to work in a Provincial Park.

Ontario Parks has opened its applications for summer employment. The government agency is looking for attendants, maintenance workers, rangers and many more. Applications are open for Lake St. Peter, Bonnechere, Silent Lake, Bon Echo, Kawartha Highlands Provincial Parks, as well as Algonquin Park.

Work will span between May and September and will pay $15 an hour. Along with being a student in a secondary or post-secondary institution, applicants must be 15 years of age by May 1st. They must be able to work in Canada and be living in Ontario. Certain jobs may also require a G2 driver’s licence, a Pleasure Craft Operator Card, or First Aid or WHIMIS training.
