Water supply disruption possible in Bancroft during plant maintenance

Work will be done on the Veolia Water Treatment Plant, and Bancroft residents will need to be careful with water useage.

The company says work will begin on Monday, March 7th at 4 AM. They will be replacing equipment and cleaning the plant, and making sure the plant runs smoothly. As a result, the plant will only be running at half capacity for up to 10 days.

While efforts will be made to keep water flowing, the company says there could be water shortages if too much stress is put on the system. They are asking people to conserve water after March 7th between 7 AM and 7 PM each day during the repair period. They ask residents to refrain from doing laundry, washing vehicles, or using large volumes of water during that time.

Work was planned to begin on Feburary 28th, but was delayed for unknown reasons.
