Paudash Trailblazers dealing with continued vandalism

For the second time in as many months, the Paudash Trailblazers have had something stolen from their clubhouse.

A light bar was removed from one of the club’s groomers, according to a Facebook post from the club. Officials with the snowmobile club, located in Apsley, say the front and rear lighting systems were taken as well. They say the groomer is unusable until the parts are found or replaced.

On Feb. 24, the club reported someone stole items from a different groomer, which meant it couldn’t be used either.

Both incidents have been reported to the OPP, but the items, and the people behind the alleged thefts, are still at large. Club officials ask anyone with information to contact the Peterborough OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

“We are going to take some steps to see if we can combat it but it’s challenging, given how remote the clubhouse is,” club officials write in their post.
