Bancroft Rockhounds playoff-bound, to play last game on Sunday

Despite many interruptions thanks to COVID-19 restrictions, the Bancroft Rockhounds are headed to the playoffs.

Head Coach Denny Dubblestyne says after the break over January, the Rockhounds went on to win eight of their last ten games. He says if things line up, they will be taking on the Bradford Bulls in the first round of playoffs. Dubblestyne says while the break was difficult on the players, it allowed the team to heal injuries and regain focus, and the team is excited to play in Bancroft again.

The final regular-season game will be played at the North Hastings Community Centre on Sunday, March 7th. They will take on the New Techumsah Civics starting at noon. Shoot to win also returns, and prizes include Rockhounds merchandise and season passes for next year.

Dubblestyne wanted to thank the sponsors and billet families for their support this year. Billet families allow players to stay in town during the hockey season.
