The Member of Parliament for Hastings Lennox and Addington says it changes nothing for her.
MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman has been listed as one of over 300 politicians and community leaders barred from entering Russia. In a statement to Moose FM, the MP said the move was the Russian Regime “grasping at anything they can” by banning Canadian lawmakers from the country.
Kramp-Neuman called the invasion of Ukraine a threat to global peace and security and says the bravery and determination by Ukrainians as heartwarming and gut-wrenching. Kramp-Neuman pledged to work with her fellow conservatives to push the government to protect the people of Ukraine, and increase sanctions again Putin’s regime.
Other banned Canadians include Justin Trudeau and his cabinet, several members of parliament, and a number of Ukrainian Canadian Congress members.
