Construction is set to begin on revitalizing Downtown Bancroft.
The Town says while there is no start date yet, they have released a notice of intended procurement and are looking for contractors to begin the project. The project will start with the reconstruction of the road and sidewalks and the installation of new benches, crosswalks, lighting and greenery. This will affect Highway 62 from the intersection of Highway 28 through to Madawaska Street.
While they will get the project going in the spring, town staff says they will release a construction schedule to the public once they have it. They will communicate any new information through their website and social media.
